What do you do in the Summertime?

Let's face it summertime in Vegas is Hot! I don't know about all of you but I am feeling the effects of the 1oo degree plus weather! I think I feel more cooped up and cranky. I know my little Brittany does too. I always think at this time of year that it's comparable to everyone else's winter. Now I am thinking in the winter time you can bundle up and still go out. Here you can only strip so many clothes. I guess going swimming here helps and we have nice air conditioned cars and houses which helps. It still doesn't totally solve the problem of being indoors a lot. So I am posing the question what do people do to beat the summertime blues?

Greatest Show on Earth!

They say the Barnum and Bailey Circus is the greatest show on earth! We thought if it wasn't, it comes pretty close. We had a good time! Rick got free tickets from his work. His work helped engineer The New Orleans Arena where it was held so they have permanent club seating. I guess that kind of seating is for the "special" people. One of our favorite acts was the bouncing tubes. They do so many acrobatics on them and they glow in the dark. Cool huh? The pictures below are kind of dark but it gives you an idea of some things we saw!

Buttons and Bows!

Activity Day's did a Father and Daughter Activity.
The dad's got to fix their daughter's hair and vise versa.
They couldn't stop laughing! They really had a great time.

daughters. Some even brought other men from the ward
as there dad. Don't they all look stylish!

Super Kate?

Mindy thought it would be great to make Kate a "Super Kate"!
The idea was spurred on by my girl's new favorite show
"Underdog". Before we knew it Kate was taking off as shown
in the next pictures!

Fun at Grandma's House!

My kids love going to Grandma's. She always has something
fun going on. She has great toys and crafts. Thank you
mom for being so fun! We had a great time!

Who's the Animal?

We had a great time going to Utah's Hogle Zoo!

This is a White Alligator. There are only 10

of them left in the world. We were priviledged

to see one of them.

This was the play area for the kids. They had

a blast!

Merryweather Reunion!

This year we went to a place near Heber called Rock Cliff
State Park. It was beautiful! Check out the background!
We get together only once a year so everyone tries to make
it. My mom only has one brother. The reunion consists of
my uncle's family and my mom's family.See if you can spy
a Broderick. We are in there!



This is the kind of picture you get when you try to take one
with out adults and14 kids in all. Six of them are babies, all who
were born last year! We loved the picture!

All the kids got little bug catchers. They were
entertained for hours. They caught all sorts of
things like fish, ants, and beetles.Here is Brittany
showing us the bug she caught. We are not quite
sure what it is.

(Not twins, just bosom buddy cousins born on the same day!)

The kids loved all the trees! In this area there were about

five trees all interlocking each other. Their imaginations went

wild. They loved it!
