We have Grass!!

Some of you might have been wondering why all the dirt?
Well here it is. We finally put in a backyard! Yea! The kids
are loving it! I'm proud of Rick for all the hard work. I'm
also thankful for Rick's dad for his help with the sod.

Kids and Dirt!

Today at about 11:30 a.m. I walked out my front door
and my eyes went wide because their was a huge pile
of dirt(about 10 tons!) in my driveway. I realized that
my van was still in the garage. I knew the dirt was
coming. I didn't know when. I was waiting for Rick's
call. Well come to find out the kids had left the phone
on for two hours. My cell phone was on vibrate. So Rick
in desperation called the neighbor(Marjorie) to let me
know. I of course was getting in the shower when
Marjorie knocked. So there it was 10 tons of dirt!
Jen Ferre just happened to be there at the neighbors
when my dilemma happened.Well at about 4:00 here
comes Kevin Ferre with shovel in hand to help get
the dirt in the backyard. A little later two more men
came. Rick had no idea until he came home.He had
been sick the past couple of days so the help was
very much appreciated. My kids and neighbor kids
had already been playing in it since they got home
from school. They helped and played and played
some more. They dug tunnels, made sand angels,
made cakes, buried themselves, threw sand, jumped
off the "mountain". Who knew sand was so fun!

September is almost gone!

So here comes the end of September and there are couple of events I wanted to post. So I am putting them together.

styling pink car that took first place and Rob Bechtol's sleek
black racer that took 2nd.

Our Trip continued...

CLAY Hills

We went to an area called Clay Hills. It has extremly
soft clay dirt. It is also deep. We climb the steep mountains.
Then we run down the mountain doing summersaults,
jumping and through it all catching serious air. The video
is of Rick running down one of the hills. Unfortunatley I caught
him at the end of his run.

Snow College

We decided on our way up to Salt Lake to stop in Ephraim. We
showed the kids where we met, where we lived, and of course
where we had our first kiss! We then stopped at The Malt Shop
to get ice cream and play around. We had a Great time!

Payson Canyon

Paka Tom's Birthday!

Welcome Home Grandma and Grandpa!

Rick's parents just came home from serving
a mission half way around the world in India!
It was a great and challenging mission for them.
They lived in two different place during the week.
They taught at an orphanage for 4 days at Pathway
and then traveled to Chenai to stay for the other
three days. Some of their duties were teaching
Geography, teaching Seminary, teaching building
and repair skills, Being in charge of finances for
missionaries, making sure they don't get bit by
snakes, talking to Geckos in their apartment, trying
not to get run over by cows, buses, bikes, or anything
else on the street. This is just to name a few. They
were also a part of people joining the gospel. We are
so proud of their service. We are also so glad they are
home. Here are a few interesting pictures from their mission.

Kids at pathway. Sometimes they don't know how
old they are when they come to the orphanage. So
they measure by how far their arm reaches to the
other side of their head. Interesting huh?
An Indian women carrying rocks on her head.
They do this all day for their job. What a headache!

Here is Rick's Mom attempting the rock thing.

Here is a Lizard they found.

Emery
Who ever could come gathered in Emery Utah.
Rick's parents still have the house and land where his
Dad grew up.What a Great time we had! Here are a
few of the Pictures!

Picture Scavenger Hunt
We did a picture scavenger hunt with places
in Emery that are landmarks. We split up into two
teams. The one rule is that someone needs to be in
the picture. We had a Great time. Here are a few of them.
